Scheduled orders are a very important element of online ordering. Companies, or bigger parties often use them because they are bigger than average and they want to ensure restaurants have enough time to accept them and get them delivered. This means that restaurants can get these orders hours, or days before prep time.
Firing the order ahead of time creates confusion, and often, the kitchen loses the ticket. If the order is big, you also want to make sure you can stock up in inventory to be able to fulfil the order.
Cuboh created a way to easily manage scheduled orders by adding a Snooze functionality.
What does it do?
By snoozing an order, you can now remind yourself of the order at a later date. This comes handy to ensure your staff does not forget to start preparing the order, or to put in a purchase request in case the inventory needs to be re-stocked.
Additionally, it allows you to fire the order at a specific time before the due time so you can forget about the order until it actually needs to be prepared.
How does it work?
Whenever you receive a scheduled order, you will see a new Snooze button next to the customer name.
From here you can choose the time when you want to Remind The Staff of the order or Automatically Fire it at a certain time.
Then, a new section will be created, (Scheduled Orders) and the new order will live inside this section until completed.
To make things easier, you can choose a Default Scheduled Time under settings so your staff does not have to specify the time for every scheduled order.
The default time will choose the Snooze Time as X minutes before the due time.
